So as I understand it, each piece of lagging has to be cut shorter than the c-c spacing of the soldier pile webs but longer than the in-in distance between the adjoining flanges. This is clearly an oversight in the code that has doubtless increased the waste and cost of construction on numberless projects. I'm shocked it's been in the code this long. Anyone else paying close attention to what's governing their foundation sizes?
